Raidió Teilifís Éireann:
RTÉ is a Public Service Broadcaster, a non-profit making organisation owned by the Irish people. RTÉ is Ireland's cross-media leader, providing comprehensive and cost-effective free-to-air television, radio and online services, which are of the highest quality and are impartial, in accordance with RTÉ's statutory obligations. The radio service began on 1 January 1926, while regular television broadcasts began on 31 December 1961, making it one of the oldest continuously operating public service broadcasters in the world. www.rte.ie





TG Ceathair (TG4): A public service broadcaster for Irish-Language speakers.  The channel has been on-air since October 31, 1996 in the Republic of ireland and since April 2005 in Northern Ireland.  The channel has 800,000 viewers who tune into the channel each day to view a broad programming policy. It has a share of 3% of the national television market. The daily Irish language programme schedule is its core service: seven hours of innovative quality programming in Irish supported by a wide range of material in other languages such as French, Polish and English. Clare FM: Local radio stations all over the country have adopted many approaches to their still relatively new role. The approach of Clare FM, right from the beginning, has been to celebrate what is local, in every way, every day. Every programme, every day, and every presenter, has a specific local-service brief, right from the Breakfast Show to late night listening. The flagship Morning Focus programme deals intensively with local issues with our local news-team tackling all the major issues which occur in the county and further afield. Radio Kerry: Radio Kerry is a full service, license radio station that operates from the franchise area of County Kerry in southwest Ireland. Radio Kerry was established in 1989 and began broadcasting in 1990. The station headquarters are in Tralee, the principal town of County Kerry, with remote studios in Killarney and Cahersiveen. The Irish Independent: Founded in 1905, the Irish Independent is Ireland's  largest selling daily newspaper that is published in compact, broadsheet and digital formats. It is a core publication of Independent News and Media. As of  November 2009, the Irish Independent has published Foinse, an Irish-language supplement free of charge every Wednesday with a circulation of 150,000. The Irish Examiner: Founded in 1841 as the Cork Examiner, the Irish Examiner is an Irish national daily newspaper which primarily circulates in the Munster region surrounding its base in Cork, though it is available throughout the country. The Irish Times: Founded in 1859, the Irish Times is considered to be Ireland's newspaper of record and is published every day except Sundays. Though formed as a Protestant Irish nationalist paper, within two decades, and under new owners, it had become the voice of Irish Unionists who wanted Ireland to remain a full part of the United Kingdom.
