March 14th: South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade: Is there a more Irish city in the United States than Boston? Saint Patrick's Day week is a fine time to take in the festivities and tour a bit of the city. Below are a few of the many events taking place in the Boston area to celebrate. Colorful floats, music and Irish good cheer await you at the City's annual St. Patrick's Day parade. Celebrate Irish heritage in Boston's most Irish neighborhood.
Where to Watch The parade begins at the Broadway 'T' Station and ends at Andrew Square, South Boston. Your best bet for viewing the parade is to stake out a spot anywhere along Broadway. Starting at 1PM and will feature marching bands and pipe bands from throughout North America. The parade travels through South Boston - Boston's most Irish neighborhood. Since 1901 this parade has become a prominent part of South Boston's history. Southie's annual wearin' of the green steps off from the Broadway T Stop proceeding down West Broadway to East Broadway to East 4th, to 5th Street, and around Thomas Park. Marchers continue to Telegraph Street to Dorchester Street ending at Andrew Square.

March 20th: The Makem and Spain Brothers: This world class Irish folk group returns to Fall River for the annual Bristol Elder Services Emergency Assistance Fundraiser. Every generation has a few acts that define where a musical genre is going, performers so confident in their chosen field that they are able to completely embrace the genre and yet introduce something new to it. In Irish folk music today, that act is the Makem and Spain Brothers. April 10th: Chulrua 8PM: Join BRT for a night of Irish traditional music featuring the band Chulrua - Dale Russ on fiddle, Paddy O'Brien on button accordion, and Pat Egan
on guitar and vocals. Chulrua (pronounced cool-ROO-ah), translates from
the Irish as "red back," and was the name and distinguishing feature of
the favorite wolfhound belonging to ancient Irish hero Fionn
MacCumhaill. It is also the name of an internationally acclaimed trio
of some of the most respected exponents of traditional music. Chulrua's
music is the old instrumental dance melodies of Ireland: jigs, reels,
